We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Job Summary: The Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist is responsible for
managing and optimizing the organization’s software assets throughout their lifecycle—
from request and procurement to deployment, maintenance, and retirement. This role
ensures compliance with licensing agreements, manages entitlements, and supports
cost optimization initiatives. The specialist will define and document processes, work
on workflow automation, lead calls with multiple stakeholders, evaluate software for
security and vulnerability risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to
implement best practices for software governance and cost efficiency. Proficiency in
ServiceNow and SAMPRO is required, along with experience in managing service tickets
and day-to-day operational requests.In detail understanding of AI and cloud features in
software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- ITIL Foundation or SAM Certification mandatory.
- Certification on SAMPRO.
- Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance audits.
- Any Certification on reporting tools like BI or presentation tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience on Software Asset Management and Software Lifecycle
Management. - Expertise on ServiceNow and SAMPRO platforms.
- Experience in managing service tickets and handling day-to-day operational
requests. - Prior involvement in software procurement processes and vendor coordination.
- Exposure to compliance audits and entitlement management.
- Experience in cost optimization and license utilization analysis.
- Working knowledge of Infosec requirements and risk assessment for software onboarding
