Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Consultant with over 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and modern DevOps ecosystems. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and automation solutions for large enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with GKE, Managed Instance Groups (MIGs), CloudSQL, MemoryStore, and integration patterns with GKE-based workloads.
- Administer and manage Kubernetes clusters and virtual machines (GKE/VM-based workloads).
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
- Perform Unix/Linux administration and develop automation scripts using Bash/Shell.
CI/CD & Automation
- Architect, implement, and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, following best practices and service design patterns.
- Develop robust scripted Jenkins pipelines using Groovy, including multi-branching, webhooks, credentials, and permissions management.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and security scanning processes using tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, container scanning solutions, and web service integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across pipeline, infrastructure, and deployment environments.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Expert-level proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts for managing API workloads, builds, integrations, and deployments.
Version Control & Build Tools
- Strong understanding of git branching strategies for multi-team development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with build tools and repositories such as Maven, NPM, Nexus, GCR, etc.
Monitoring & Observability
- Integrate and support monitoring solutions using Datadog, AppDynamics, Grafana, and related tools.
Enterprise & Hybrid Cloud Experience
- Work within enterprise DevOps environments involving networks, firewalls, and hybrid cloud models.
- Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient cloud and on-prem workloads.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.
- GCP Certification (professional-level preferred).
- Kubernetes Certification (CKA/CKAD/CKS).
- Strong expertise in cloud, automation, CI/CD, containerization, and monitoring frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
