We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Job Summary:
The SAM PRO Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing
software asset management processes using the SAM PRO platform. This role includes
handling software entitlements, user and device allocations, and ensuring accurate
license compliance across the organization. The specialist will work on SAM PRO
integrations with tools such as Nexthink and ITOM agents, publish software packages,
and manage software reconciliation activities. Key responsibilities also include
publishing compliance reports and leveraging SAM PRO features such as normalization
and reclamation to optimize software usage. The role requires expertise in software
metering, automation of software acquisition and installation workflows, and
collaboration with IT teams to maintain data integrity and compliance. Strong
knowledge of SAM PRO functionalities, software licensing models, and integration
capabilities is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize software asset management processes using the SAM PRO platform.
- Handle software entitlements, user allocations, and device allocations to ensure
accurate license compliance. - Work on SAM PRO integrations with tools such as Nexthink/ITOM agents for
enhanced visibility and automation. - Manage workflows for software acquisition and installation.
- Perform software reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory and compliance.
- Publish software compliance reports and leverage SAM PRO features for
governance. - Execute normalization and reclamation processes to optimize software usage
and reduce costs. - Monitor and manage software metering to track application usage and ensure
compliance. - Collaborate with IT teams to maintain data integrity and support license audits.
- Generate reports and dashboards for compliance, usage, and optimization
insights.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- ServiceNow SAM Professional Certified Implementation Specialist
certification. - Additional ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer
(CAD). - ITIL Foundation or IAITAM SAM certifications.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Software Asset Management, with hands-on expertise in
ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and configuration. - Experience with custom licensing metrics, scripting, and integration using
REST/SOAP APIs. - Familiarity with Integration Hub, procurement systems, and financial tools.
- Expertise on Normalization and Software Metering.
