We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide end-to-end technical support across office environments, fabrication areas, and paint shop floor systems. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with plant operations, end-user technologies, and infrastructure services across multiple locations, including Syncreon, CLI, and other plant facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 support for Windows, macOS, and infrastructure services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to office systems, fabrication systems, and paint shop floor operations.
  • Offer on-site “feet-on-the-street” network support, including network hardware changes and basic troubleshooting.
  • Support SCCM environments and assist with Microsoft Intune configurations.
  • Ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities across shop-floor machines and workstations.
  • Manage IT hardware lifecycle, including shipment, returns, replacements, and inventory.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
  • Participate in plant leadership calls to provide IT updates and support ongoing initiatives.
  • Attend weekly change management calls and support patching activities.
  • Adhere to operational standards, ITIL processes, and service delivery objectives to support plant infrastructure.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for service desk workflows, processes, and end-user procedures.
  • Escalate major incidents or service interruptions to Plant Leadership and the MIM (Major Incident Management) team.
  • Coordinate and support hardware vendors during on-site visits and plant activities.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune, and vulnerability management.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
