We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer to work as an independent contractor in a dispatch-based, on-demand role. The candidate must be available to travel to customer site locations in Santiago whenever support is required.

This position does not include employee benefits and is best suited for professionals who prefer flexible, project-based field work. The initial contract will be for one year, with possible extensions based on performance, reliability, and business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site IT desktop and hardware support based on dispatched service requests
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
    • Windows desktops and laptops (Windows 10/11)
    • Printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
    • Network connectivity (LAN, cabling, switch ports)
  • Perform hardware installation, replacement, and break/fix services
  • Support IMACD activities (Install, Move, Add, Change, Decommission)
  • Conduct basic network troubleshooting using console and LAN cables
  • Accurately update tickets and service reports after each assignment
  • Coordinate with remote support teams and follow escalation procedures
  • Comply with site-specific security, safety, and access requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT Desktop Support / Field Support
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and replacement
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Ability to work independently and respond to on-demand dispatch requests
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work as an independent contractor in Chile

Required Tools (Contractor Must Provide)

Candidates must have and carry the following tools to perform on-site support:

  • Windows laptop
  • Console cable
  • LAN (Ethernet) cable
  • Screwdriver toolkit
  • RJ45 to USB cable
