Incident Technician (Tier 2 IT Support) – New York-North America

We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site/on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate manner to ensure optimal service delivery.
Role Overview
As an Incident Technician, you will handle escalations from the global service desk and work directly with traders, analysts, and finance professionals. You will troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, and market data platforms. Your proactive mindset will help identify incident trends and contribute to improving our IT knowledge base.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily front-line support for desktops, hardware, and software on a busy trade floor.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Office Suite issues, especially Outlook performance and connectivity.
- Support market data applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and FactSet.
- Assist with device setup, onboarding, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Document procedures and known issues for the global knowledge base.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and app teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Ensure all incidents and service requests are logged and resolved per internal standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- ~5 years in desktop or trade floor IT support (ideally in finance).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office, with expert-level Outlook troubleshooting.
- Experience with market data platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.).
- Skilled in supporting desktop hardware, multi-monitor setups, and financial trading tools.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory and basic networking
- Familiarity with trade floor voice systems (IPC turrets, voice recording solutions)

- Full-time onsite role in New York
- 1099 Independent Contractor engagement
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
