We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Location: Decatur, Illinois- USA(On-site)
Contract Type: Independent Contractor / (Full- time)

About the Role
We are seeking a Field Services Engineer to provide on-site technical support for manufacturing environments and End User Computing (EUC) infrastructure. The engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting IT hardware, software, and manufacturing-related systems at customer or production locations.
This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Onsite Support
- Provide onsite technical support for manufacturing equipment, machinery, robotics, and computer systems
- Install, configure, and maintain manufacturing hardware and software
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Work closely with manufacturing staff to resolve issues efficiently
EUC & Hardware Support
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues; refurbish defective devices
- Perform diagnostic testing and ensure quality standards
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment
Remote & Escalation Support
- Provide remote desktop support for complex technical issues
- Act as an escalation point for Level 1 support
- Track and manage incidents using a ticketing system
- Assist users with training and technical guidance
Infrastructure & Project Support
- Conduct structured cabling site surveys, design, and installations
- Coordinate projects including vendors, schedules, and budgets
- Manage lifecycle of IT infrastructure and assets
- Ensure compliance with security, MDM, and asset disposal standards
Required Qualifications:
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, hardware, software, and networking
- Hands-on experience with OS, applications, and remote support tools
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and shop-floor systems
