We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate activities, ranging from simple to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite Level 2 technical support to end users in a corporate environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, supporting end-user devices, managing ITSM tickets, maintaining asset inventories, and providing hands-and-feet support for IT infrastructure. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work
professionally in a client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 onsite deskside support for complex customer issues and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate solutions using standard troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Install, uninstall, and reinstall basic software applications and verify proper hardware and software configuration.
  • Perform onsite installation, replacement, configuration, and repair of hardware components and software.
  • Deploy PCs, laptops, and other end-user devices.
  • Utilize remote-control and remote-access tools when required to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage and update ITSM tickets, ensuring accurate documentation of troubleshooting activities and resolutions.
  • Maintain site-specific technical documentation and follow established support procedures.
  • Manage end-user device assets throughout the complete device lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories using approved client tools and applicable procedural documentation.
  • Provide hands-and-feet support for Server, Storage, Backup, Network equipment, and IPT endpoints.
  • Support virtual endpoints and Windows-based end-user environments.
  • Assist users with application navigation and basic functionality issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced client environment.
  • Follow client security, IT service management, asset management, and operational procedures.

  • Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar IT support role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop operating systems and common software applications.
  • Hands-on experience providing deskside support to end users in a corporate environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, peripherals, and end-user devices.
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems and incident management processes.
  • Experience with PC and laptop deployment, configuration, and replacement.
  • Knowledge of asset management and inventory control processes.
  • Familiarity with remote access and remote-control tools.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments and virtual endpoints.
  • Ability to provide hands-and-feet support for network and infrastructure equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Client-Facing Requirements
  • This is a highly client-facing onsite position. Candidates must maintain a professional appearance and business-professional dress code while working at the client location. Professional attire includes well- tailored suits, button-down shirts, and other appropriate business attire.

Contractor Details

  • Full-time independent contractor engagement.
  • No benefits provided.
  • Monday through Friday, onsite at the client office.
  • Immediate/ASAP start preferred.
