We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support & Infrastructure Technician to provide onsite technical support three days a week and might convert to five days a week for end users and IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing Linux and Windows devices, supporting network and infrastructure components, and ensuring smooth IT operations across office and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Scope Linux:

  • Procurement of Linux devices – ordering & procurement of equipment.
  • Imaging Linux devices.
  • Installation of applications – a list will be provided – assumption ~10-15 applications
  • Shipping out to end users & collection of the old devices.
  • Level 1 & Level 2 break-fix of issues.
  • Lifecycle management and tracking of the devices.
  • Response and Resolution SLA targets will be aligned with the contractually
  • defined support metrics for Designated Sites/in agreement with the supplier.

Scope Window:

  • Provide hands and feet support for end user issues, which include
  • troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues.
  • Install and troubleshoot office applications on primary level (O365, Outlook,
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, Adobe, browsers) and OS standard
  • software and any other business software with knowledge articles provided by supplier.
  • Configure email and troubleshoot in case of an issue.
  • Lifecycle management and tracking of the devices.
  • Response and Resolution SLA targets will be aligned with the contractually
  • defined support metrics for Designated Sites.
  • Conduct Conference room support and readiness.

MFG Support:

  • Provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and escalation for
  • local and regional IT network infrastructure services to ensure uninterrupted IT operations.
  • Deliver hands-on “hands and feet” support for network, server, endpoint, printer, telephony, and infrastructure equipment, including network closets.
  • Execute basic infrastructure support tasks such as server reboots, computer support, and AV systems assistance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair network device malfunctions along with the guidance with the network team.
  • Assist with system access and permissions for devices.
  • Provide hands on support for industrial devices such as RF guns, scanners, and zebra printers.
  • Manage the scrap and retirement of network devices with approval from the device owner or IT lead.
  • Maintain hardware procurement and inventory management.
  • Perform walk-through and visual inspection of all rack mounted equipment and critical fixed asset monitoring panels, alert monitoring for any amber/red alerts, open tickets for respective towers, and email status report.
  • Assists other I&O team members with troubleshooting, racking and de-racking of servers, cabling, and wiring of other equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Provide vendor escorts to local IT areas.
  • Deploy switches and wireless access points, perform rack/stack/cabling, manage IP & DNS requests, identify switch ports, handle cable routing, and console into switches for configuration support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with Office 365 and standard business applications
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, switching, cabling)
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and deployment
  • Ability to work in onsite and manufacturing environments
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Comfortable working in server rooms, network closets, and factory floors
