We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Imaging Engineer (L3) with strong expertise in enterprise imaging, SCCM administration, and modern device management. The ideal candidate will lead imaging engineering initiatives, provide Tier 3 support, and design scalable deployment solutions across enterprise environments.
This role requires deep technical knowledge of Microsoft deployment technologies, operating system deployment (OSD), BitLocker management, and automation using PowerShell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day administration and optimization of enterprise imaging environments
- Design, build, and maintain Bare Metal, In-Place Upgrade, and Feature Update OSD Task Sequences
- Develop and manage driver packages, Boot WIM images, and ADK configurations
- Troubleshoot complex imaging failures including driver conflicts, sys file errors, and BSOD during deployments
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for imaging and SCCM-related issues
- Implement and manage BitLocker encryption using task sequences and scripts
- Generate reports using Excel and provide insights to stakeholders
- Create and maintain SOPs and technical documentation
- Collaborate with customer technical teams and internal delivery teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to SCCM teams
- Participate in desktop application management and deployment initiatives
Technical Expertise Required
Imaging & Deployment
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Microsoft SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)
- Experience with:
- Bare Metal deployment
- In-place OS upgrades
- Windows Feature Updates
- UDI Wizard implementation
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Task Sequences & Task Sequence Variables
- HTA Front-End customization
- Answer files (XML-based unattended files)
- Image capture and rebuild processes
- Experience with Windows ADK, Boot Image customization, and driver injection
- VHD creation for VDI environments (Citrix preferred)
- Script optimization and automation
SCCM & Modern Management
- SCCM client installation and troubleshooting
- Software distribution & packaging
- Remote control support
- Boundary configuration and network design
- CMG (Cloud Management Gateway) & CDP understanding
- Network inventory management
- Windows Installation and upgrade strategy design
Security & Encryption
- Experience deploying and managing BitLocker via task sequences and scripting
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM)
- Strong PowerShell scripting expertise
- Working knowledge of VB scripting and SQL queries
Operating Systems
- Windows 7, 8, 10 endpoint support
- Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Extensive experience in log file analysis and troubleshooting
- Driver-related troubleshooting and blue screen error resolution
- Imaging failure root cause analysis
