We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Hands and Feet Support Engineer to provide on-site IT infrastructure and technical support. The role requires strong hands-on capabilities to assist with network setup, cloud migration initiatives, virtualization management, and end-user support. The engineer will work closely with remote teams and local staff to ensure smooth IT operations and support ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site hands and feet support for IT infrastructure and networking equipment.
- Assist with network connectivity setup using SD-WAN and support related configurations.
- Support AWS cloud migration activities, including deployment and implementation tasks.
- Perform acceptance testing and ensure the successful implementation of new systems.
- Manage and support VMware environments, including operations, monitoring, and backup processes.
- Provide end-user support, including troubleshooting, software installation, and system configuration.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 environments when required.
- Assist with the maintenance and availability of local MES-related systems (2–3 systems) under guidance from the local German IT team.
- Work with networking devices such as Sophos and SecurePoint firewalls for basic configuration and troubleshooting.
- Follow and maintain information security standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with remote IT teams during application migration to AWS and other cloud initiatives.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking and firewall technologies (Sophos, Securepoint).
- Hands-on experience with VMware administration, operations, and backup.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN connectivity and network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 administration and end-user environments.
- Familiarity with cloud migration concepts, particularly AWS.
- Basic understanding of information security standards and practices.
- Ability to maintain and support local MES-related systems.
Language Requirements:
- English: Mandatory (professional working proficiency).
- Mandarin: Highly preferred and considered a strong advantage.
