We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Role Overview
The Utility Architect will lead the design, development, and governance of architectural strategies and technical solutions for utility systems (e.g., electricity, gas, water). This role ensures alignment between business needs and technology solutions, supports digital transformation initiatives, and drives robust scalable, secure, and compliant solutions across enterprise utility platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture Strategy & Vision
- Develop and maintain enterprise‑level architecture blueprints for utility applications and platforms.
- Define target architecture and transition roadmaps aligned with business goals and utility domain best practices.
2. Technical Leadership & System Design
- Lead technical architecture design of complex utility systems including integration, infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise solutions.
- Ensure architectural consistency, scalability, performance, and security across systems.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business, IT teams, vendors, and clients to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Provide technical consultation to senior stakeholders and influence solution decisions.
4. Integration & Implementation
- Oversee integration of various utility subsystems (e.g., billing, asset management, operations).
- Review and validate solution designs for compliance with standards and architecture principles.
5. Governance & Best Practices
- Establish and enforce architectural governance, patterns, standards, and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, industry standards).
- Track emerging technologies and recommend innovations for system improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong experience in enterprise/solution architecture within utilities (electricity, gas, water).
- Proficiency in architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with integration technologies, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in digital transformation, enterprise integration, and utility operations.
Relevant certifications (TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architect, Utility Platform certifications).
Experience with utility‑specific systems such as SAP IS‑U, Oracle Utilities, GIS.
