We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a candidate with expertise across all stages of the software lifecycle. As a SAM/SLM Analyst, the candidate should be familiar with various
lifecycle phases and have prior experience evaluating software based on security and vulnerability parameters. The role is responsible for managing and optimizing the
organization’s software assets throughout their lifecycle. The analyst will maintain accurate entitlement records, monitor software usage, and collaborate with cross-
functional teams to implement best practices for software governance and cost efficiency. Proficiency in ServiceNow and SAMPRO is required. Proficiency in managing
service tickets on daily basis. Proficiency in Software packaging to deploy on internal portal. Knowledge on Cloud and AI reviews with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete software lifecycle from request to retirement, ensuring
compliance and efficiency. - Evaluate software for security and vulnerability risks before onboarding.
- Maintain accurate entitlement records and ensure proper documentation for all
software assets. - Monitor software usage and optimize license allocation to reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Finance, Infosec) to
implement governance best practices. - Handle daily service tickets related to software onboarding, renewals, and
compliance. - Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize ServiceNow and SAMPRO tools for tracking, reporting, and managing
software assets. - Create a Model and Normalize the software on SAM PRO.
- Manage the Software Catalogue on ServiceNow.
- Prepare reports and dashboards on software usage, compliance status, and cost
optimization opportunities. - Work with vendors to get some of the technical questionnaire filled.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the vulnerability assessment, Cloud
and AI review and Global service desk and regional Deskside support. - Provide binaries and silent keys to Software packing team to publish on company
portal. - Work with internal stakeholders for AI approvals, Vendor approvals and Cloud
Approvals. - To handle the software remediation (removal procedure).
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Infosec requirements and risk assessment for software
onboarding. - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration.
- Software Asset Management (SAM) Certification.
- Knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, subscription, perpetual,
enterprise agreements). - Familiarity with security and vulnerability assessment for software onboarding.
- Strong understanding of Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience: - Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and SAMPRO platforms.
- Experience in managing service tickets and handling day-to-day operational
requests. - Prior involvement in software procurement processes and vendor coordination.
- Exposure to compliance audits and entitlement management.
- Experience in cost optimization and license utilization analysis.
