We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Dispatch AV Technician to provide on-site and remote support for audio-visual and IT systems across multiple client locations. This role demands strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on technical expertise, and excellent communication with both technical teams and end users.


Key Responsibilities:

● Respond to dispatched service requests for AV setup, support, and troubleshooting.

● Install, configure, test, and maintain AV equipment including:

○ Projectors

○ Video conferencing systems

○ Microphones

○ Speakers

○ Displays

○ Control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron)

● Diagnose and resolve AV-related issues both on-site and remotely, ensuring minimal service disruption.

● Collaborate with client IT teams and third-party vendors to deliver seamless AV functionality.

● Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AV and IT hardware.

● Respond promptly to service tickets and dispatch to client sites as needed.

● Set up, configure, and maintain IT hardware including computers, servers, printers, routers, and switches.

● Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN).

● Execute system upgrades and software installations.

● Maintain detailed records of service activities, including diagnostics, solutions, and follow-ups.

● Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to non-technical users.

● Coordinate with remote support teams to ensure timely and efficient problem resolution.

● Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Technical Skill:

● Hands-on experience with AV equipment (Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Polycom, Logitech, etc.).

● Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).

● Understanding of AV signal flow, cabling standards, and integration best practices.

● Basic network and systems troubleshooting (Windows, MacOS, Linux).

● Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and wiring diagrams.

● Experience in field support, helpdesk, or IT technician roles.

● Proficiency in common IT tools and troubleshooting methodologies.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certifications in AV/IT preferred).

● Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar AV or field technician role.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

● Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel on short notice.

Other Requirements:

● Flexibility to work on-call hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

● Ability to lift and transport AV equipment.

● Professional appearance and a strong customer service mindset.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
