We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Transition Manager to lead the planning and execution of onsite IT support services transitions for our corporate clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Transition Planning

  • Develop comprehensive transition plans that outline timelines, milestones, and resource requirements for onboarding new clients or transitioning existing services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.

Project Management

  • Oversee the execution of transition projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on key performance indicators.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors during the transition process.
  • Facilitate regular communication and updates to all stakeholders regarding project status and any potential issues.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on service delivery.
  • Conduct post-transition reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future transition processes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT support staff, trainers, and system administrators, to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Documentation and Training

  • Ensure all transition-related documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for onsite support staff and end-users to facilitate a successful transition.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze transition processes and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Transition Manager or in a similar role within IT service management.
  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery models, including ITIL practices.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
