Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled MDM Specialist to manage and optimize the company’s master data strategy and governance. As an MDM Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance policies, managing data integration across systems, and ensuring data quality across the organization. You will work closely with IT, business, and data teams to create a unified data model and ensure that master data is accurate, accessible, and usable for all business units.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Master Data Management (MDM) strategies, including data governance policies and procedures.
• Define and maintain data models, data standards, and data quality metrics for master data across various domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier, finance).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that master data supports business objectives.
• Oversee the integration and synchronization of master data across multiple systems and platforms.
• Identify data quality issues and work with teams to resolve them through data cleansing and standardization processes.
• Monitor the performance of MDM systems, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
• Maintain and support the MDM toolset (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDM, or other MDM platforms) to ensure it meets the business needs.
• Establish data stewardship roles and engage business users in managing data quality.
• Provide guidance and support for data-related projects and data governance initiatives.
• Create reports and dashboards to track data quality metrics and report on MDM effectiveness to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, or a related field.
• Strong experience with MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, SAP, IBM Infosphere) and data integration platforms.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and data governance best practices.
• Strong understanding of data quality management, data profiling, and data standardization processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment between business and IT.
• Solid understanding of data lifecycle management and metadata management.
• Ability to work with large data sets and ensure the integration and synchronization of master data across multiple systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with cloud-based MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Certification in Data Management or Data Governance (e.g., CDMP, DAMA).
• Experience with data quality tools like Trifacta, Talend, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on data management practices.
