Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Desktop Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for desktop systems and applications. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, managing system upgrades, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop environments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced support for desktop systems, hardware, and software, including troubleshooting complex issues.
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software, ensuring compatibility.
- Assist in the deployment of new technologies and system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft Office, VPN, remote desktop, and peripherals.
- Document technical procedures and resolutions for internal knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior support staff and assist in maintaining security standards for desktop systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in IT support, with at least 2 years in a Level 3 or advanced role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with support tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and endpoint management.
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, MCDST, or ITIL) are a plus.
Experience in a similar role
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
