Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data is consistent, accurate, and secure.
• Define data quality standards and work with data owners to establish processes for monitoring and improving data quality.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of a data governance program to manage data throughout its lifecycle.
• Work with cross-functional teams to promote data stewardship and accountability.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure that data management practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Define roles and responsibilities for data governance across the organization, ensuring clear accountability for data management.
• Implement tools and technologies for data cataloging, metadata management, and data quality assessments.
• Monitor and report on data governance metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
• Educate and train employees on data governance practices and policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with data management tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.).
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in Data Governance (e.g., Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP)).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.

Experience in a similar role-:

5 to 10+years of relevant experience
